Environmental Policy




Randy’s Delight will comply with all relevant environmental legislation and
will ensure that all staff involved understands the legislation that affects them.


Aims and statement of principles

1.    Ensure environmental risks are properly identified, prioritised and
        managed in an appropriate and timely way.
2.    Establish sound environmental management policies and promote best
        practice.
3.    Manage its operations in ways that are environmentally sustainable and          
        economically feasible, by making efficient and environmentally responsible use 
        energy and water and exploiting opportunities to maximise efficiency.
4.    Minimise environmental impact and reduce or, where practicable, prevent              
        pollution.
5.    Minimise waste production by reduced consumption and develop effective waste    
        management and recycling procedures.
6.    Collaborate with key suppliers to promote environmentally responsible 
        procurement of goods and services.
7.    Monitor actively results and audit policies and practices to ensure Randy’s
        Delight meets its policy goals.
8.    Develop ongoing training to raise and maintain awareness amongst staff and
        promote individual good practice and encourage team participation.
9.    Recognise the legitimate interest that all employees and customers have in
        environmental performance and communicate openly within and to the outside

        community.

        It is the duty of all our employees to comform tyo this environmental policy.


Waste

Reuse paper printed on one side where possible and recycle waste paper
Email documents to the intended recipient and only print for evidencing
Purposes, instead of using plastic / paper cups use glasses and mugs in the office and meetings
Recycle toner cartridges
Recycle glass & plastic bottles

Energy

All Staff members are encourage to turn lights off, when not in use and not to leave equipment on standby.
Reduce and monitor Gas use 
Reduce and monitor Water use where practicably possible.
Minimise energy use in food preparation e.g. (cooking)
Use local suppliers where possible to reduce fuel and transportation

Transport

Randy’s Delight staff are advised, where possible, to use public transportation or cycle to and from work, which would help in reducing the size of our carbon footprint

Purchasing

It is our aim where possible to purchase in bulk, in order to reduce additional packaging and fuel costs, but where practical endeavour to use reputable suppliers with like minded concerns for the environment.

This policy is communicated to all staff members and will be available on the Randy’s Delight website www.randysdelig
ht.co.uk for all our staff and customers to view. The policy relies on staff members for implementation, with a yearly review. However, the ultimate responsibility for environmental performance lies with the General Manager.
